Brewing is fun and exciting!
As you can tell by my dreadful lack of posts, we have been super busy making beer.
Black Thai was a success in that Butch, the man behind the original concept for the beer, stated one night between sets at a Big Fat Slim show, "Man, this is Awesome! You nailed the recipe! It's exactly what I had in mind!" Speaking of Big Fat Slim, the Black Thai inspired our new T-shirts.
Big Fat Slim Shirt.
Pretty sweet, right? You can buy one this Saturday when you come see us rock at the pub. The first set starts at 10pm.
Anyway, enough about me. More about beer.
The fermentation of Red and White is nearing an end and it's just about to be sent to the wood for aging. At this point, it's tasting great and we promise to make it even greater.
On the horizon is Black and Blue which is something I look forward to every year.
Additionally, we will have some special guests here to brew in Milton on Friday the 18th. All I can say is that Sam and I brewed the pilot at the pub and it's all systems go. It's going to be good.
We will have one more release of 75 Minute this month. The beer is sitting on the dryhops right now and firkins will get filled late next week. I'm pretty sure it's Josh's turn.
Our new cellar build-out is shaping up nicely. Formal staff training starts on Monday. We are really looking forward to this project's completion because of the positive impact it'll have on our beer quality as well as our quality of life and it'll mean that the contracters and their lifts will be out of our way! ;)
Well, that's it for now.
Talk to you later.
