Celebrating Women’s History Month!
We’ll be celebrating our female coworkers all month-long at Dogfish Head, in honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day! We have a slew of goodness happening at our properties that include coworker poster take-overs, a Pop-Up Women’s Vendor Market happening at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth Beach, a special menu crafted by female coworkers at Chesapeake & Maine, and a Beer and Benevolence initiative at the Tasting Room & Kitchen where tips will be donated to the Pink Boots Society! Check out all the deets below:
Poster Take-Overs
We have many strong female coworkers here at Dogfish Head, all leaders in their own way and we wanted you to meet some of those faces that maybe you don’t always get to see when you’re visiting our properties. Starting on March 8th until the end of the month, you’ll see posters throughout our properties with off-centered facts about a few of our coworkers, from birding fans to pianists and lego lovers! The artwork on the posters might also look super familiar to you- since it’s the artwork from Nordic Spring. Nordic Spring is the first release of our 2023 Off-Centered Art Series, donning whimsical artwork from our good pal Natalya Balnova. Based in New York, Natalya works as an illustrator, designer and printmaker whose playful work can be found across dozens of publications and brands.
Pop-Up Women’s Vendor Market
Join us at Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth Beach on Saturday, Mar. 18 to shop and peruse the pop-up Women’s Vendor Market from 1 p.m. – 4p.m. highlighting bakers, crafters and writers. Purchasing goods from independent women entrepreneurs in our community is something that’s important to us! Check out our vendor line up:
Since it’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend we’ll also have a special performance from McAleer-Paulson School of Irish Dance at 2 p.m.
Pink Boots Tips at the Tasting Room & Kitchen:
Come out and eat and/or drink for a cause! From Wednesday, Mar. 8 to Tuesday, Mar. 14 all tips made at the Tasting Room & Kitchen we’ll be donating to the Pink Boots Society. This non-profit organization is dedicated to assisting, inspiring and encouraging women in the alcoholic/fermented beverage industry in advancing careers through education! Quite a few coworkers at Dogfish Head are members of the Pink Boots Society. We’ll also be featuring a special scratch-made cocktail crafted by one of our coworkers.
Chesapeake & Maine’s Women Inspired Specials:
Starting on Wednesday, March 8, we’re honoring International Women’s Day here at Chesapeake & Maine with live music from Cecilia Grace, from 5-8 p.m. We’ll also be celebrating some of our amazing female coworkers and business partners with a special menu, available all month long. From a signature cocktail, whose recipe was crafted by female coworkers at Chesapeake & Maine, to the ‘Fresh Catch’ entrée that’s main ingredient utilizes fresh seafood from female-owned seafood vendor, True Fin, and to the sweet ending feat. female-owned cheesecake company Mom Mom’s Cheesecakes; when you choose one of these menu items, you are supporting a female coworker or female-owned small business!
Cheers and let’s raise a pint to our strong females here at Dogfish Head, not just in March but every day!
