Compelling, no?

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

If you're one of the lucky 400 with tickets for the 2012 Weekend of Compelling Ales and Whatnot, we have some good news for you. The beer lineup for Saturday's brewery fest is set, and it's packed full of goodness:

  • Aprihop
  • 120 Minute IPA (2011)
  • Immort Ale (2011)
  • Midas Touch run through a Randall of limes and mint (we call them Midas Jitos)
  • Red & White (2011)
  • Black & Blue (2011)
  • My Antonia
  • Namaste
  • Sah'tea
  • Ta Henket
  • Chateau Jiahu
  • Palo Santo Marron
  • Burton Baton
  • Dirty Fermentini (BeerAdvocate/Dogfish collab)
  • Diablo Verdi (a small-batch creation by Dogfish co-workers)

We'll be pairing up the Aprihop, Namaste and Immort Ale with some tasty cheeses. My Antonia will be paired with a pretzel incorporating some of our spent grains, courtesy of our friends at Dolce Bakery. And Black & Blue will be accompanied by a craft chocolate from Askinosie Chocolate (the folks who provide the cocoa for Theobroma).

And don't forget the chips and salsa that will go with the 2011 Small-Batch Brew winner, Diablo Verdi. Yum!... But what's small-batch brewing, you ask? Don't worry. A small-batch brewing demonstration will be going on throughout the day so you can check out brewing up close.

Saturday's brewery event is sold out, but the Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday morning festivities at our Rehoboth Beach pub, Dogfish Head Brewing & Eats, are first-come, first-serve. Learn more about those events here.

Hope to see you soon. Cheers!
