Dig in to Dogfish Head's stash of hard-to-find vintage beers
This one's for the locals and the lucky travelers.
From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. every Thursday at Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton, founder Sam Calagione will dig into his stash and offer a few of our rarest ageable ales. Along with the throwback beers, we'll be spinning vintage vinyl on our new tasting room turntable.
The first Analog Happy Hour is going down July 4, and to get things moving and grooving, we'll be pouring 2005 and 2007 Raison D'Extra (it's like Raison D'Etre on steroids), the much-sought-after Festina Lente, and World Wide Stout and Fort from 2004 (this stuff is older than Facebook!).
We will be featuring occasional guest DJs, and Sam will man the record player for our inaugural happy hour, spinning music from before 1980.
"That's before Sierra Nevada opened," he says, "back when all beer lovers had to kick it old school."
The vintage pours will be priced only slightly higher than our non-aged beers, and we'll be selling some vintage four-packs to-go.
So come on over, check out our new tasting room and food truck, and grab these beers while you can. When they're gone, they're gone for good!
