Music has been a part of Dogfish Head since before Dogfish Head. So it’s natural fit for a brewery that makes ‘Analog Beer for the Digital Age’ to be the Official Beer of Record Store Day, a celebration of the unique culture of record stores and the special role they play in their communities.

Beer To Drink Music To
Our liquid tribute to Record Store Day, Beer To Drink Music To was created as the perfect beer for fans to pair with their favorite songs. Utilizing ingredients inspired by some of our favorite tunes, the four primary ingredients (orange peel, peppercorns, candi sugar, and cardamom) were inspired by the following: Orange Crush by REM, Sgt. Pepper by The Beatles, Sugar On My Tongue by Talking Heads, and Mock Song by Phish. The result is a Belgian-style Tripel and a perfect marriage between beer and music.

“The enjoyment of a beautiful beer with an amazing album at the same time is an exponentially awesome experience,” Dogfish Head founder and president Sam Calagione says. “This beer is purposely built for this ideal.”

Press conference and Happy Hour
Sam will also join Record Store Day organizers, musicians, artists and other music geeks at a press conference March 8 at NYC’s legendary Electric Lady Studios as the panel moderator, helping to launch the Official Record Store Day 2016 Release List.

Following the press conference, Dogfish Head will be hosting a Happy Hour from 5 to 7 p.m. at World of Beer featuring Romantic Chemisty and Beer To Drink Music To.
