This just might be our most extreme bottle release yet
What exactly is the definition of an extreme beer? Well, if you ask our good pals over at BeerAdvocate they’ll tell you…
extreme beer (noun): a beer that pushes the boundaries of brewing
Seems simple enough. And as the lead supporter of Extreme Beer Fest© (EBF) - and a brewery with an off-centered ethos - we’re no strangers to brewing outside of the proverbial box. Case in point, during our annual BeerAdvocate brew day we decided to brew a new style-defying beer for this year’s EBF … a Double New England Maple Pastry Black Coffee Milkshake IPA.
Seriously. Don’t call it an Imperial Stout.
Brewed with maple syrup, toasted coconut, lactose, vanilla beans, cocoa powder, and cold-pressed coffee, this year’s collaboration has a name just as long as its style. Deemed ‘Possibly the Next Top Rated Beer on BeerAdvocate,’ it takes inspiration from ingredients found in some of the top-rated beers found on the BeerAdvocate website. Weighing in at 10% ABV and featuring a glittery dollop of whipped cream on top (because why not?), you'll find Possibly the Next Top Rated Beer on BeerAdvocate pouring at this year’s EBF in Boston, Mass. happening Feb. 1 - Feb. 2.
Missing out on EBF this year? No worries, we’re also celebrating the spirit of extreme brewing here in coastal Delaware by releasing a limited number of Possibly the Next Top Rated Beer on BeerAdvocate 750 mL bottles at our Milton Tasting Room & Kitchen on Saturday, Feb. 2! Priced at $20 each, there are only 250 bottles available with a 2-bottle limit per person. Also available on tap at our Milton Tasting Room and Rehoboth brewpub.
But that’s not all the extreme that's happening…
Another exclusive being poured at this year's EBF is a preview of our highly anticipated SuperEIGHT super gose releasing in 12 oz. cans nationally this April. SuperEIGHT is brewed with eight heroic ingredients, including prickly pear, mango, boysenberry, blackberry, raspberry, elderberry and kiwi juices, a touch of toasted quinoa and an ample amount of red Hawaiian sea salt. Okay so that’s technically nine, but it ‘gose’ without say that there’s going to be salt.
Intrigued? You too can get a preview of this super gose because we’ve bottled a limited number of SuperEIGHT 750 mLs for our Milton Tasting Room & Kitchen to release on the very same day as Possibly the Next Top Rated Beer on BeerAdvocate! Priced at $8.88 (get it?), there are only 300 bottles available with a 2-bottle limit per person. This will also be available on tap in the Tasting Room.
Two EBF exclusives, two limited bottle releases, both happening on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. at our Milton Tasting Room & Kitchen … told you this just might be our most extreme limited bottle release ever.
