We've had some great live music at the pub recently — Built to Spill, Hop Along, Steve Gunn — but the weekend of July 17-18 promises to be one of the best weekends yet.

On Friday, July 17, we welcome indie surf rockers Surfer Blood from West Palm Beach, Fla. They’re supporting new album 1000 Palms, and after their show at Dogfish will be taking a break before a European tour this fall. 

On Saturday, July 18, we welcome back the incomparable Mekons. Lester Bangs, America’s greatest rock critic, called the Mekons “the most revolutionary group in the history of rock ’n’ roll.”

Mekons founding member Jon Langford has done a bunch of artwork for Dogfish, including the bottle labels for Olde School, Burton Baton and 75 Minute IPA. (Check out our Q&A with him here.)
