a nice day at work
I got to see the firkin cleaning frankenstein-esque contraption Bryan designed (called cask-que-c'est) live and in effect. He filled the last few firkins of 75 Minute IPA today that will be released and tapped at the same moment in Boston, NYC, Philly, and our own pub next Thursday. I'm psyched to be attending and tapping one of these firkins at one of these events next week at Barcade - one of my fav beer bars in Brooklyn. The first 75 folks to get a pint of 75 Minute IPA at each Simul-cask event gets a curved-side dogfish pint glass. Hope you can make it to on of the participating locations. Check out dogfish.com for Simul-cask locations. Speaking of Philly I had a great time at Philly Beer Week last week. The organizers did a killer job - over 650 events in ten days. The city of bro-lo brought their A-game. And I bought a case of my beloved Saison duPont at The Beer Yard where Matt, Mark, and the crew always come correct. Off to our Rehoboth pub now to meet a writer from Inc. Magazine, have a pint of Aprihop and eat. Nitasha , the journalist from Inc., is Indian and was excited to hear that Bryan and I will be brewing at the pub again soon - a batch of PIA (pale India Ale) using spices from India that were sent to us by our pal Pete (of Pete's wicked ale fame) and his California buds. Keep flying your freakflags high and proud and drinking the good stuff.
