Top 4 reasons to hit Analog-A-Go-Go
4 ... The live music
Bob Mould, best know as the singer, songwriter and guitarist for the ‘80s rock band Hüsker Dü, is playing a free show. Mould, who NPR calls "one of the great heros of American indie rock,” is hitting the stage at our Rehoboth Beach brewpub at 10 p.m. Friday, June 13. The next night, Mutual Benefit – whose latest album “Love’s Crushing Diamond” was one of Pitchfork Top 50 of 2013 – is playing the pub. Tickets for that show are $10 right here.
3 ... The vinyl
“We’re music geeks as much as we’re beer geeks,” say Dogfish Head Founder and President Sam Calagione. You’ll no doubt see Sam thumbing through the crates and crates of records from New York City’s Other Music, Delaware’s Rainbow Records and Annapolis, Md.’s KA-CHUNK!! Records. If it’s on vinyl, it’ll probably be at Analog.
2 ... The vendors
Picture a flea market, but instead of old Beanie Babies and 1/2-price “gold” you can buy camping gear, vintage rock T-shirts and handmade yoga mats. The biggest bonus? The debut of our Woolrich capsule clothing collection. The blanket, hat and koozie will be on sale at the Woolrich booth. (Check out the full lineup of vendors here.)
1 ... The cask beer!
Let’s not forget what Dogfish is all about: off-centered ales. At Analog, we’re talking cask. Cask ales are the liquid version of slow food. They’re rustic, local, unfiltered and unpasteurized. They go through a secondary fermentation in 10-gallon casks, also called firkins. The carbon dioxide given off by the yeast is trapped inside the cask, giving the beer a very soft and velvety level of natural carbonation.
So, what are we gonna have? We’ll have a dozen beers, including Namastina, a mashup of our summer seasonal Festina Peche and Namaste, and Palo Santo with cocoa shells and coffee. Birreria, our rooftop brewpub at Eataly NYC, is also bringing down three unique cask offerings, and we'll be debuting the liquid side of our Woolrich collab, Pennsylvania Tuxedo!
Sounds like fun, no? Well, grab some tickets here and start planning your trip! See you at Analog!
