You may know him from the likes of Beer Wars, Brew Masters and the ever-popular Pain Relievaz. He’s Bryan Selders, Dogfish Head Brewing Ambassador extraordinaire! What you may not know is that Bryan has been down this off-centered road before…

Bryan hails from the Philadelphia area where he attended the Tyler School of Art earning a Bachelors in Fine Art. During his years in college he developed an affinity for craft beer and began homebrewing (because beer and college go together like peanut butter and jelly). Shortly after graduation, his passion for craft beer and brewing led him to an apprenticeship at a small Philadelphia brewery.

After mashing in and mashing out, and many a late-night, he found himself a pub brewer at Nodding Head Brewery in the heart of the city. It wasn’t long before ‘Dogfish Head’ in southern Delaware would come calling and invite Bryan to join the team as lead brewer. Lucky for us, he happily jumped at the offer!

It was a solid nine years we spent with Bryan, as he headed up process development, brewery management, raw material procurement, production scheduling and team development. And somehow, in between all of that, managed to co-found the Pain Relievaz - the most influential beer-geek hip-hop duo of our generation!

Always curious about the ‘what if,’ it was 2014 when Bryan left us to explore a new opportunity with The Post Brewing Company in Lafayette, CO. As much as we hated to see him go, we loved watching his creative energy permeate throughout The Centennial State.

As fate would have it though, after three years of hard work and amazing growth … Bryan decided to return home! In his new role of Brewing Ambassador, Bryan maintains our experimental brewing spirit at our Rehoboth Beach, Del. brewpub in addition to spreading the off-centered word far and wide through his travels.

You’ll find him reppin’ Dogfish at events across the country and you can expect to see his journeys here from time to time, so get ready for a little more Bryan Selders in your life!
