Here at Dogfish, we’ve always been proud to call the ‘small wonder’ that is Delaware home. In fact, we can’t imagine putting down roots anywhere else!

We KNOW we aren’t the only ones, so we are so excited to say that 302 Day is back, and it’s going to be bigger and more off-centered than ever! We’ve teamed up with 302 Horseshoe Crab again to host their Official 302 Day at our Milton Tasting Room & Kitchen for a second year in a row! An homage to the 302 area code of our slight but mighty First State, 302 Day is a free event that’s all about celebrating the goodness of Delaware. And what better place to celebrate than Delaware’s first brewery?  

With our 2022 302 Day taking home Southern Delaware Tourism’s “Best Event” Award, we could not be more excited to celebrate our great state once again! Mark your calendar and join us in celebrating the 302 in an off-centered way.

Thursday, March 2 – 302 Lager Release and R&D Chat  

We’re kicking off the celebration on Thursday, March 2, with the release of 302 Lager, a special collaboration with 302 Horseshoe Crab. A crisp and tasty American Lager, 302 Lager is brewed from thoughtfully sourced 2-row barley malt, heirloom variety corn and Sauvignon Blanc grape must. You’ll find that its aromas are bright and inviting, with notes of honeysuckle, sweet grits, grapefruit, and passionfruit. Available in 16oz 4-pks and on draft at our Milton Tasting Room & Kitchen and in Rehoboth at Brewings & Eats and Chesapeake & Maine, it’s sure to be perfect spring sipper.

In honor of this release, we’re hosting a special chat at our R&D Bar at the Milton brewery from 5:30-6:30 p.m. with Dogfish Head’s Founder Sam Calagione and Brewing Ambassador Bryan Selders, joined by owners of 302 Horseshoe Crab, Keith Mosher & Karlin Maull. Saturday, March 4 –  302 Day Celebration 

On Saturday, March 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., grab your 302 gear and a whole lotta Delaware pride and head to our Milton brewery for our 2023 302 Day Celebration! Join us, alongside 302 Horseshoe Crab for local libations, lawn games, Delaware eats, live music and LOTS of 302 merch.  

Eats & Treats:

• Brewed in collaboration with 302 Horseshoe Crab, try our special event brew! A crisp and tasty American Lager, 302 Lager is brewed from thoughtfully sourced 2-row barley malt, heirloom variety corn and Sauvignon blanc grape must. • If you’ve ever visited us here in coastal Delaware, there’s a good chance you’ve imbibed the iconic ‘Crush’ – a refreshing sipper crafted right before your very eyes that includes fresh-squeezed citrus fruit. To celebrate this local libation, we'll have our 'Crush' Canned Cocktails available! We'll also be pouring Blue Hen Pilsner- our super sessionable pilsner brewed with only four ingredients – water, yeast, earthy Saaz hops, and Delaware-grown and malted barley.

• Our friends from 302 Horseshoe Crab will be on-site releasing new merch as well as their annual liquidation sale

• All of the proceeds from the raffle will go to benefit the Friends Of Delaware State Parks. They'll have their Airstream on site with a live touch tank featuring horseshoe crabs, as well as having annual State Park passes for sale.
• Cat from Copy Cat Paint Parties will be there with free face painting, and OutoftheBoxDIY will be bringing their DIY acrylic pour kits!

Live Music:

• Homestead Bluegrass will be rockin’ out from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the grassy knoll
• It’s time to get your singing voice ready for live band karaoke! The Nick Kashmanian Trio provides instrumentals while you belt it out with the band. This crew hosts Live Band Karaoke at Brewings & Eats every other Wednesday, and this will be their first debut at the Brewery in Milton, so join them from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. on the grassy knoll. • You’ll also find vinyl inside the Tasting Room!

• Dress up in your best outfit that shows off your Delaware spirit to be entered in our costume contest!
