As 2023 comes to a close, we’re celebrating our 4th and final Benevolence Beer of the year by teaming up with The Developing Artist Collaboration (DAC) for a month-full of artistic goodness! From a collaboration beer to donation events to an exclusive art installation at Analog-A-Go-Go, there’s more than a few ways you can join us in supporting DAC this month.  

Tap into Creative Juices 

Art is a form of communication and your medium is how you tell your story! Whether you’re a painter, brewer, dancer… you are an Artist! 

Our 4th Benevolence Beer of the year is here: Creative Juices. We teamed up with our pals at DAC to craft a beer that instigates a sense of creativity for whatever type of artist you are! Let this crisp, fruity sour jolt your tastebuds awake and get the creative juices flowing. Sketch, draw, or doodle on your can while you enjoy it! 

Creative Juices (6% ABV) released on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 on draft, for on-site consumption, at our Rehoboth brewpub and to-go in 4pk/16oz cans at Dogfish Head’s Off-Centered EmPOURium. Priced at $17.00 per 4pk. Folks attending Analog-A-Go-Go can expect to see it as one of the many samples available at the festival.  

Can Art Is Art … Duh! 

The basic idea behind Creative Juices was to concoct a beer that channels your inner artist. And what better way to lean into this concept than to create a label that provides a blank space for the drinker to use as a canvas!  

“Ultimately, it boiled down to allowing the drinker to be inspired by using the blank space of the can as their own canvas,” said Hettie Epison on the Creative & Print Services team. “It was necessary to make sure I was leaving enough space for the drinker to get creative. Utilizing illustrative elements such as the ingredients in the beer, the fanciful frame, paint splatters & textures helped to keep it whimsical, enforce the flavor expectations & also add colorful yet artistic elements to the theme. [We] wanted to  
to make sure the colors and artwork were bright and fun and reflected DAC's playful aesthetic while maintaining Dogfish Head's off-centered and iconic branding but not forgetting to add in a couple personal artistic touches of my own.”

DAC has been brewing something special … a CAN-tastic art installation that will be on display at Analog-A-Go-Go. Local artists, alongside the community members at a Dogfish Head Benevolence Night, decorated beer cans which will be turned into a Beer Can Chandelier!

There’s still time to support DAC with us! Head to the Brewpub on Wednesday, Nov. 15 for our second Benevolence Night of the month. 10% of sales will be donated to the non-profit. You can also donate at our Milton brewery! All tips collected at the brewery throughout November will be donated to DAC.
