Belma Pale Ale

Belma Pale Ale is an American style pale ale brewed solely with a new American Hop Variety – Belma.  Belma is being grown by Puterbaugh Farms out of the Yakima Valley in Washington, and takes its name after a small community from the area by the farm that existed in 1894.  Not much is really known about this hop just yet, as it has yet to be widely used in the brewing community.  These hops were used at three points during the boil, and then added in abundance as a dry hopping addition in the fermenter.  So far Belma is being characterized by its clean bitterness, citrus, and tropical fruit flavors.  This ale presents flavors and aromas of slight grapefruit with a little bit of pineapple and melon tossed in the mix combined with a touch of grassiness against a gentle malt background.

Belma Pale Ale will be tapped Friday, January 18, 2013 and will be available until it is gone!

Due to the limited availability of our Brewpub Exclusive beers, Belma Pale Ale is not available in growlers. Sorry.
