This hazy IPA features a new hop variety called Strata from Oregon ... which is described as having “tropical fruit flavors and the heady aromas of citrus and sweet cannabis.” Also used in this juicy brew are floral Chashmere, tropical Vic Secret and super-concentrated Cryo Citra hops. Before entering the beer, the hops were processed cold in an inert nitrogen atmosphere to remove green plant material, and concentrate the resins and oils nearly two-fold, which allows for an intense hop character without the harshness that extra plant material can add. We then hop bursted and dry hopped these varieties over a base of Pale Ale malt, Pilsner malt, Chit malt, Wheat malt, and flaked and malted oats to create Cloud Hands.
