Born into a family with a deep love of music, Bryan became quickly drawn into the art. Bryan’s first guitar was a flamenco guitar handed down from his uncle in 2006. As he moved in and out of various bands through high school/college, Bryan developed a unique songwriting style composed of his many influences, including John Denver, Johnny Cash and Jim Croce. During this time, he also grew experience as a composer, thus mastering the song process from start to finish

After 1 year of studying music in Los Angeles,CA, Bryan returned to his home state of Delaware in late 2012 to start his journey as a solo artist. He draws his inspiration from America's countryside, his personal journey as an artist, and events in history. Since 2014 he has released 4 albums, played numerous times on local radio/television stations, got nominated for "Best Local Artist" award in 2016, won Delaware Todays "Best Local Artist downstate" award in 2021 & won a local singer-songwriter competition in 2024. 

He currently performs along the east coast from Delaware all the way to North Carolina. Since 2018 he's been spreading the word of his trio "Bryan & The Barn Owls"! When asked what his goals are he says "To eventually perform around the nation & share my songs with anyone who will listen!

Emerging from the vibrant music scene of South Jersey, Polaroid Fade burst out just over a year ago, though their musical journey began long before. Led by vocalist and songwriter Nicoletta, whose evocative vocals and reflective yet playful at times lyrics set the tone of the band's sound, which is a captivating blend of old-school new wave and contemporary alternative rock. Guitarist Tyler, with his years of multi-instrumental experience, weaves intricate melodies and infectious riffs. The rhythm section is seasoned with post punk riffs and grooves by Jeremy on bass and Jack on drums. Their music, described by Steve Feinberg (Good Charlotte, My Morning Jacket) as a fresh take on the old wave of new wave, transports listeners to the neon-lit streets of '80s Glasgow. Since the release of their debut single "Any Other Way" in 2022, Polaroid Fade has been steadily building a dedicated fanbase and making waves in the local scene with subsequent releases like "Bliss," "Worry About Me Later," and "Fisher Gardens." Their first full length Shore Points Records release, Chaos Into Poetry, droped this past November.

Matt Lafferty moved to coastal Delaware in 2008 and has a great love of playing a cool and eclectic mix of folk, bluegrass, blues, R&B, roots rock, and 60s pop, along with some old country and swing. Matt enjoys moving between the genres and styles with a high level of fun and solid musicianship, as he engages audiences to enjoy, participate and come along for the ride. Matt likes to take the audiences on musical trip from the 20s to the 80s and most everything in-between! Come on out and enjoy!

Rising stars, American Aquarium, are hitting the stage at Brewings & Eats on Friday, February 14 from 9 - 11 p.m. As one of the stops on their 2025 tour, this FREE show is one you won't want to miss!

About the artist

For nearly two decades, American Aquarium have pushed toward that rare form of rock-and-roll that’s revelatory in every sense. “For us the sweet spot is when you’ve got a rock band that makes you scream along to every word, and it’s not until you’re coming down at three a.m. that you realize those words are saying something real about your life,” says frontman BJ Barham. “That’s what made us fall in love with music in the first place, and that’s the goal in everything we do.” On their new album The Fear of Standing Still, the North Carolina-bred band embody that dynamic with more intensity than ever before, endlessly matching their gritty breed of country-rock with Barham’s bravest and most incisive songwriting to date. As he reflects on matters both personal and sociocultural—e.g., the complexity of Southern identity, the intersection of generational trauma and the dismantling of reproductive rights—American Aquarium instill every moment of The Fear of Standing Still with equal parts unbridled spirit and illuminating empathy.

Recorded live at the legendary Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, The Fear of Standing Still marks American Aquarium’s second outing with producer Shooter Jennings—a three-time Grammy winner who also helmed production on 2020’s critically lauded Lamentations, as well as albums from the likes of Brandi Carlile and Tanya Tucker. In a departure from the stripped-down subtlety of 2022’s Chicamacomico (a largely acoustic rumination on grief), the band’s tenth studio LP piles on plenty of explosive riffs and hard-charging rhythms, bringing a visceral energy to the most nuanced and poetic of lyrics. “In our live show the band’s like a freight train that never lets up, and for this record I really wanted to showcase how big and anthemic we can be,” notes Barham, whose bandmates include guitarist Shane Boeker, pedal-steel guitarist Neil Jones, keyboardist Rhett Huffman, drummer Ryan Van Fleet, and bassist Alden Hedges.

Mixed by four-time Grammy winner Trina Shoemaker (Queens of the Stone Age, Emmylou Harris), The Fear of Standing Still shares its title with one of the first songs Barham wrote for the album—a soul-baring look at how raising a family has radically altered his priorities and perspective. In the process of creating what he refers to as “a record about growing up and growing older,” Barham also found his songwriting closely informed by his ten years of sobriety, as well as his ever-deepening connection with American Aquarium’s community of fans. “Whenever someone tells me that one of our songs helped them in some way, it encourages me to be more and more open—almost like peeling a layer off an onion,” he says. “This album is a writer 18 years into his career, peeling away the next layer and seeing just how human we can make this thing.”

For Barham, the sharing of hard truths is indelibly tied to his sense of devotion to American Aquarium’s audience—and to his belief in rock-and-roll as a singularly unifying force. “All I really want to do is put words to the emotions that most people have a difficult time expressing on their own,” he reveals. “No matter what that emotion is, when you put it into a song and then get to those moments when a whole bunch of people are singing that song all together, it makes you see that you’re part of something bigger than you ever realized. That’s when you can really affect people’s lives, and to me this record is another stepping stone to making that a reality.”

Battle it out at Video Game Night every Thursday at the Milton Brewery! Challenge other guests to a some friendly, tournament-style competition in classic video games. Registration opens at 5 p.m., and the tournament begins at 6 p.m. Registration is on a first come, first served basis, but we'll try to make sure everyone has the chance to get in on the action!

*Games will be played at our back bar, so all players must be 21+.

Let’s hit the ground running with #DFHRunClub in-person runs in 2025! Our pals at Charm City Run will lead this 3(ish)-mile run starting at Charm City Run Rehoboth (200 Rehoboth Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE) at 6 p.m. sharp, and ending at Brewings & Eats. The route is planned to be well lit, but reflective gear and headlamps are encouraged.  
 
After the run, runners can enjoy a 15% discount on their entire check at Brewings & Eats*! Simply scan the QR code at the host stand upon arrival to sign in, and you'll receive confirmation. Hang onto this confirmation and show it to your server to redeem your discount.  
 
PLUS, don’t forget about our Dogfish Head Run Club t-shirt challenge! Runners who participate in 6 in-person runs will receive an exclusive Dogfish x Charm City Run Club t-shirt**. Ask your server for a Run Club Punch Card and get it punched after every run.

On Saturday, March 1, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., grab your 302 gear and a whole lotta Delaware pride and head to our Milton brewery for our 2025 302 Day Celebration! Join us, alongside 302 Horseshoe Crab for local libations, lawn games, facepainting, Delaware eats, live music and LOTS of 302 merch. We'll be raffling off some goodness & donating proceeds to Delaware State Parks. Make sure to RSVP here, to stay up to date and receive communications about the event. We’ll have live music by Homestead Bluegrass from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. & live band karaoke by The Nick Kashmanian Trio from 2 - 4 p.m.!
