On Wednesday, April 2 and 16, from 4 - 9 p.m., Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats is hosting a Benevolence Night to benefit the Open Space Alliance, a non-profit whose mission is to promote the preservation of open space land in the greater Lewes, DE area. 10% of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to Open Space Alliance!

New Jersey-born songwriter Devin Canfield is a dynamic singer-songwriter now based in Lewes, Delaware. Known for his alternative and progressive approach to the acoustic guitar, Devin crafts performances that are as technically captivating as they are emotionally resonant. Drawing inspiration from legendary artists like Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, and Pink Floyd, his music blends heartfelt storytelling with intricate guitar work. Whether through original songs or reimagined covers, Devin’s artistry invites listeners on a journey of connection and reflection.

Good Stew is a 5-piece band from Lancaster, PA, serving up a spicy mix of funk, reggae, Afro-pop, and rock. With infectious grooves, soulful vocals, and a vibe that’ll move your feet, Good Stew brings the "Flavor for Your Earholes" to every show. The Nick Kashmanian Trio provides the instrumentals while you belt it out with the band on stage. From 12 – 3 p.m., we'll have a DJ spinning your favorite vinyl while we raffle off some killer prizes every 30 minutes - think t-shirts, tap handles, posters & more! And because no Dead Head gathering is complete without great eats, we’re launching our Grateful Dead grilled cheeses to keep you fueled. Plus, stick around for some live music with LoveLight, a Grateful Dead tribute band, who will be rocking the stage from 9 - 11 p.m.!

Brewed in partnership with the Open Space Alliance for our second Benevolence Beer of 2025, VILD BANCK (5% ABV) is an homage to the organization’s focus on preserving Lewes’ last remaining forest, the Fourth Street Preserve. Together with Open Space Alliance, we wanted to create a beer that pays tribute to the Fourth Street Preserve’s rich forest ecosystem with its name, ingredients and artwork. As reflection of the preserve’s natural beauty, the name VILD BANCK, translates to “wild land above the stream.” Offering a tribute to the Fourth Street Preserve’s lush woodland habitat, this beer is a refreshing Hefeweizen brewed with local spruce tips. Inspired by the resilience of the red fox, a creature often spotted in and around coastal Delaware, VILD BANCK’s artwork centers on a hand-drawn illustration of a red fox within its natural, forest habitat. Grab a pint at Brewings & Eats or Chesapeake & Maine, or a 4-pack to go from the EmPOURium on Wednesday, April 16.

Open Space Alliance will also be our Benevolence Nights benefactors at Brewings & Eats for the month of April. Dine with us on April 2 and 16, and 10% of the night's sales will be donated back to this amazing organization!

With a unique blend of pop and rock with rustic, earthy folk influences, the NJ native's sound is familiar and fresh all at once. Since graduating from Belmont University’s coveted songwriting program, Toth has been working full time as an artist, producer and writer, collaborating with independent artists and labels and securing himself as a staple of the Nashville indie scene. Jeff’s intimacy on stage is only rivaled by his intimacy with the pen, his lyrics often focusing on the personal growth and catharsis that come from pain. The candid jokester and nature lover looks forward to increasing the scope of his live shows and connecting with his audience.

All the Living and the Dead is a five-piece, Philly-based indie pop rock band that blends the energy of rock with multi-layered vocal harmonies. Formed in 2022, the members have played in and around the Philly scene in bands including: The Bigger Lovers, Mason Porter, Missing Palmer West, The Bret Tobias Set, and Space Ate Mafia.

22 year old Ethan Lake is a rising country singer/songwriter and recording artist from Baltimore, MD who draws from a wide collection of Americana influences including traditional country,  delta blues, and folk.   His own expressive guitar driven brand of blues infused country folk is influenced by Tyler Childers, Colter Wall and Chris Stapleton.  He has recently cowritten several songs with veteran Nashville Music Row singer songwriter Stefanie Joyce (+5m global songwriter credit streams) that have been recorded and will release his first single Honky Tonk Heartbreak on March 8, 2025.

The Moran Tripp Band is a rock and roll band from Edgewater, MD. Their influences include The Allman Brothers, Little Feat, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Grateful Dead.
